A GIFT THAT WILL KEEP ON GIVING

How Our Missions Offering Make a Difference For One Who Will Make A Difference For Many

Since 2016, FUMC has supported nursing student Charlesetta in her pursuit to earn her Bachelor's degree at the School of Nursing in Ganta, Liberia, where the United Methodist University College of Health Sciences is located. Charlesetta came to us with the highest GPA of any student we've ever supported - a 4.0.

Through recent messages, Charlesetta asked Julie Rolffs to share the following with our congregation:

"Please extend my thanks and appreciations to the Peoria family for their support. ... I will graduated August 20 with honors. The scholarship has been the backbone of my success and achievements in life. I am indebted... I can't imagine where my life would be without this scholarship. I am so grateful to the scholarship committee."

The Missions Team continues to faithfully manage the funds provided by the congregation through Global Impact Celebration (GIC) and restricted giving, in order to provide scholarships for nursing students in Liberia.
